Welcome to the new version of ABC Courses Ltd! This site has been produced in conjunction with ABC Food Safety Ltd to provide you with access to a range of online Continuing Professional Development courses that have been specifically designed to meet the training needs of Local and Central Government Officers. This website offers two key services.
Our online courses are interactive and designed to encourage readers to participate rather than merely read from the screen. Our research suggests that officers would welcome such short courses to reinforce learning acquired on traditional training courses and also to facilitate cascade training. Each course will take the reader an average of two hours to complete when fully done. A set of course notes can be downloaded at the beginning of the course and a bespoke CPD certificate produced at the end to demonstrate that the course has been completed. All course content is regularly reviewed and updated to ensure that it reflects current legislation. Our Online Reference sections provide access to model procedure notes, worked examples of enforcement notices, reference materials and much more. They allow the reader to use our service as a resource centre, extracting particular information as and when needed. Forum Our service now includes an online forum to enable you to discuss relevant issues with other users of the service or raise queries with our course authors. You do not have to be a paying user to be able to post and read on our Public Forum, but to get use of the complete forum you will need an account with us. Inspection of Dairy Premises The Food Standards Agency are encouraging local authorities to undertake inspections of their dairy establishments to ensure compliance with the relevant legislation.
